Manchester City Has Renamed Its Training Ground After Yaya Touré

Image
After spending eight years in Manchester City, Yaya Touré will be saying goodbye to the Cityzens at the end of the season. The season doesn’t end until May 13 but Man City has already given Touré the best tribute any footballer could ever dream of: renaming the club’s training ground after the Ivorian! According to Manchester Evening News, Man City’s academy field will now be called “ Yaya Touré Pitch ” – has a nice ring to it. In addition to the name change, the club also erected a mosaic in honour of the 34-year-old at the training ground. Since joining Man City in 2010, Touré made 230 appearances, gave 32 assists and scored 62 goals – all of which amounted to three Premier League trophies for the club. Not only is he leaving with this huge package, his last appearance with the club came with the 3–1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. You must admit, no footballer wants to remember their last appearance on a team as a loss. And nothing beats going out with a bang.

Chelsea To Swap Kante To Real Madrid For Marco Asensio.

The Spain international is clearly a man in demand at the moment after catching the eye at the Bernabeu in recent times, establishing himself as one of the finest young players in Europe. Remarkably, Chelsea are so keen to sign him that they could be willing to part with one of their most important players in an effort to get the deal done. That’s according to Don Balon, who report that the Blues have submitted an offer involving N’Golo Kante moving to Madrid as part of the deal. This would certainly be a shock given Kante’s importance to Chelsea, but Don Balon claim the west Londoners are desperate to make Asensio a central part of their team. The 22-year-old could be well worth investing in, but given Chelsea’s needs in midfield after a flurry of poor recent signings such as Tiemoue Bakayoko, Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater, it looks an extremely risky move letting Kante go. Chelsea already have quality attacking midfielders like Eden Hazard and Willian in their ranks so Asensio

It Will Be Difficult For Obasanjo To Remove Buhari From Office

Prince Tony Momoh, a former Minister of Information has said it will be very difficult task for former President Olusegun Obasanjo to remove President Muhammadu Buhari from office in 2019 no matter how he tried. Speaking in an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Momoh, a national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also allayed the fears of Nigerians over the possibility of mistaking APC for ADC, which is the acronym of African Democratic Congress, the political platform adopted by Obasanjo’s Coalition of Nigerian Movement (CNM). According to him, the acronym of both parties are different while their logos are also different from each other. On Obasanjo’s quest to terminate Buhari’s reign by 2019, Momoh said the former president as a democrat will never get involved in a coup and in the eventuality of that, such a coup will not succeed as it will be resisted by well-meaning Nigerians. “Obasanjo will not get involved in any coup and no coup in Nigeria that is resisted eve
