Mother Land Prt2

Mother Land

Jamiu was dedicated to his whats app ponzi, but his woes are just beginning, he made friends with some set of people, notable among them was Chioma. Chioma was a married full house wife who got addicted to ponzi, she fell in love with Jamiu. They chat into the midnights and exchange video calls, as time went on Chioma started borrowing money from Jamiu to do ponzi, whenever she gets her return Jamiu gets a refund. It went on this way until Jamiu borrowed her 10,000 naira and she refused to pay back, Jamiu tried everything he could but all was to no avail, technically Jamiu has been scammed of 10,000 what should we call this? The young man was disappointed, someone he was trying to help deceived him, good friends are scarce indeed. After exchange of hot words over the phone between Jamiu and Chioma, Jamiu moved on to other Ponzis.

This time it was a website Ponzi. He met Zainab on the platform, tragedy struck again as Jamiu's first investment went down the drain, but fate remembered him, Zainab willingly gave Jamiu 10,000 and encouraged him to never give up, their patnership blossomed and they became strong allies. Jamiu started raking in profits, he was elated, by now Jamiu's capital has gone so low to 100,000 naira, 200,000 is gone into thin air, his mistake was investing 100,000 into a South African ponzi site, it was a total failure. When Jamiu went for medical check-up the doctor was surprised with the state of his health. Young man relax, what are you worried about, I need to repeat that cardiology test, it seems Jamiu had high blood pressure, he couldn’t tell the doctor about his loss. What is he going to do with 100,000 Jamiu lost hope the more, he said to himself, I am not travelling again, I have reached the end of the road. At his place of work, the salary has reduced to 14,000 because he took a loan of 300,000, to eat became an issue for him.

After every solution failed Jamiu started seeing his problem as a spiritual one, he started visiting men of God for prayers. The main reason why his parents couldn’t help was because they thought his travelling visa wasn’t real, they have heard stories of how people got scammed because of visa but here is Jamiu who didn’t go over the board before he was given, this doesn’t look real. Most of his friends held the same view too, they felt Jamiu was lying, he doesn’t have any visa he is using it as a cover up. "When God wants to elevate you, he first shows you your enemies". By now, Jamiu realised he had no friends, they are all competitors. He kept looking for other sources of income but he never told anyone how he lost his money, nobody even knew he got a loan. Jamiu started losing weight because he became worried that a once in a life time opportunity was about to leave him. In the next episode we shall know whether Jamiu gave up or not…….thanks for reading.
