Materialism and Christianity.

Everyone has been praying for something Mega. Mega like : God,V.I is my destination, lekki is my promised land, Island is waiting for me and and and ...then we quote Bible verses that says "God cannot fail his own children". " Mat 7:7"
Something baffles me. Just one thing.

Why dont you pray to be "Mega" to change the slum you live in?
Why don't you pray to be "Mega" to put smile on the slum dwellers?

Let's run some checks.
If you eventually get "Mega" :
*You live the slum
*Drop few changes to the thyroid built church in which you prayed to be mega. The church in turn make use of your money to sustain the slum worshippers.
*You don't need to pray again cos you are always like - "What has he not done for me"?
*You should have been the hope of the masses but now their enemy.
What am I saying.
*Everyone is rich in one way or the other.
*You being wealthy in riches does not guarantee long life
*Why not lift the status of the slum.build a magnificent edifice, let the slum be recognised with your mansion. (In every community, there is always a particular house we all call pink house,blue house,white house,aso rock . and and and)

Am made to believe we are all one body of Christ.
One body just in Spirituality or ??????? Cos I m still not getting it. The same body of Christ,we have children of the same age mate; while one is schooling somewhere over the seas and mountains,One is over here getting wasted doing Something that will only earn him few stipends, nodding his head to every prayer said my the mega super stat pastor who can change his life with only an envelope, being the good brother in Christ. Heaven at last,arghh Heaven at last is the mindset. Am not coming against Heaven at last; but before Heaven at last. What about the present?
Let's not look at the area of amassing and storing wealth and others in the sane body of Christ can't afford any kind of change:be it cloth,hairdo, looks, thought etc.

So the "Mega's" end all discussions with "God will bless you as he did it for me"..... Then its like I should drink sniper.
In Conclusion
Get a life.
Get a Job that won't cause you to beg.
Don't wait for dead men shoes.
Live above the waters.
Live according to your income
Don't goan crave to party hard cos its Christmas while you are yet to clear your debts.
Be happy
Get satisfied
Pray
Believe
Have a mindset.
And and and.....

All progressive Congress party members in olamaboro local government area of kogi and most dwellers of this areas have come out openly to let it known to the current governor of  kogi state the person of Governor Yahaya Bello, that they are not in support of his second term coming as the governor of kogi state.
