3 Suspected Yahoo Boys Bagged 6 Months Jail Term Each in Kwara State

A Kwara State judicature, sitting in Ilorin, capital of the state, has condemned 3 persons for offences bordering on net fraud.


The convicts, whose names are Apata Oluwakayode, Yusuf Rasheed and Muhammed Ademola, were prosecuted by the Economic and money Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ilorin zonal workplace.

They were condemned by presiding Justice Sikiru Oyinloye.

EFCC representative, Tony Orilade, aforesaid this during a statement in Abuja.

Orilade, however, declared that the convicts had pleaded guilty to the one-count charge most well-liked against them by the anti-graft Commission.

He said,

“They had approached the EFCC for a plea bargaining agreement, once realizing the burden of proof gathered against them.

“Based on their guilty plea, Justice Oyinloye condemned them consequently and sentenced them to 6 months in jail commencing from July nine, 2019.

“The Court additional ordered them to forfeit things recovered from them as well as, Associate in Nursing power unit laptop computer, and mobile phones, among others.

“They were conjointly ordered to require Associate in Nursing endeavor to be of excellent behaviour and ne'er to be concerned in any style of fraud among and outdoors the shores of Nigeria.

“The convicts area unit presently serving their jail terms at the Madala jail in Ilorin.”
